PM launches CBS’s integrated data portal

KATHMANDU:  Prime Minister KP Oli today launched nationaldata.gov.np, an integrated statistics portal of the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

Oli launched the portal amid a full meeting of the National Planning Commission (NPC). The portal avails data processed on the basis of geography of the federal, states and local levels, nature, and sustainable development goals.

The launch of the portal is in line with the government’s repeated commitments about its policies and programs for the current fiscal year.

Suman Aryal , Director General at the Central Bureau of Statistics, said the portal is based on the principles of open data. It is expected to ensure people’s access to data concerning multiple sectors, including geography, nature, resources, potentials and SDGs.

The bodies concerned will update the portal as per the need.
