Dahal suggests Deuba refrain from making stingy remarks

POKHARA: Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has sniffed sarcasm on the Nepali Congress (NC) for fielding a septuagenarian candidate for the November 30 by-election.

Addressing a mass meeting in Pokhara today, NCP Chairman Dahal said, “When NC leaders have suggested Prime Minister K P Oli to take rest, I can’t understand why they (NC) have fielded a septuagenarian candidate here.”

In another context, Dahal also raised concern over what he termed “irresponsible” statement made by NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba who has alleged PM Oli of giving his consent to India to publish a new map.

“If this is the case, then be assured, NCP candidate Bidya Bhattarai will come out victorious here in Kaski Constituency-2,” he said.

He came down heavily on Deuba for making such illogical statements. “Anyway, Deuba’s remarks have damaged the NC’s popularity ahead of the polls,” he comforted NCP supporters and the voters.

Dahal also suggested Deuba refrain from making such lying just to catch the sentiments of the people.
