Two arrested for offering bribe to police

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons on the charge of offering a bribe to cops in a hope of getting off the hook.

The arrested are Manoj Tamilsina, 28, of Singamangal, Kathmandu and Indian national Arun Kumar Jaiswal currently living in Singamangal.

According to police, during a routine security check at KMC-32, Thulokhari Chowk, it was found that they were riding a motorcycle, Ba 60 Pa 4168, under the influence of alcohol.

They had offered Rs 2,000 to cops in a hope of getting off the hook. However, police arrested them and also impounded the motorcycle.
