Police bust motorcycle theft racket, arrest nine persons

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested nine persons on the charge of stealing motorcycles from the different places of Kathmandu Valley.

According to police, the arrested are Madan Kumar Moktan, Sandesh Gole, Som Sunar, Ganesh Lama, Rikjen Moktan, Sandeep Gurung, Bharat Thapa Chhetri, Indra Bahadur Tamang, Bikram Bhujel, Raju Poudel, Sabin Tamang and Samir Tamang.

Police deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Kirtipur first arrested three persons including Kumar Moktan. Police had also confiscated motorcycle, Ba 94 Pa 1142, from them

Police later arrested others based on further investigation and confiscated 40 motorcycles from their possession.

Police said they are further investigating the case.
