Two Indian nationals among three arrested for hundi transaction



BIRGUNJ: Three persons including two Indian nationals have been arrested on the charge of their involvement in illegal transfer of money called hundi.

A team from District Police Office, Parsa arrested two Indian nationals while they were heading to Nepal from India with Rs 400,000.

The arrested are Sushil Kumar Sharma, 44, and Sarojani Kumari, 18, of Motihari, India.

According to police, they were heading to Birgunj from Raxaul on a motorcycle, Na 29 Pa 8594.

They told the police that the money was meant for the operator of the Birgunj-based Aakriti Cosmetic Shop Raj Kumar Agrawal.

Based on their statement, police arrested Agrawal.
