4,000 tourists visit Upper Mustang in 2019



KATHMANDU: Some 4,000 tourists visited Upper Mustang in 2019.

As per the record maintained by Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), 3,863 foreigners visited Upper Mustang from January to November this year.

The number is more by 1.5 percent when compared to the last year. The data for the month of December is yet to be known.

The Kagbeni-based checkpoint of ACAP maintains the record of tourists visiting the place.

10 tourists visited Upper Mustang in January, nine in February, 102 in March, 470 in April, 640 in May, 104 in June, 253 in July, 434 in August, 550 in September, 967 in October and 324 in November.
