Police arrest four burglars in Janakpur



JANAKPURDHAM: Police on Thursday arrested four suspected burglars in Janakpur.

Police had to fire three rounds of bullets while the looters were reportedly stealing goods from a furniture store.

According to the police, while two of those arrested namely Mohamad Ilias and Ajir Ansari are Indian citizens, the two others — Jagan Patel and Binod Prasad Singh — are residents of Rautahat.

Police have also confiscated guns from them.

They had tried to flee when the police caught them breaking into the shop at around 3:30 am, according to Dhanusha police chief SP Shekhar Khanal.

SP Khanal informed that one of the arrestees has been injured in police firing.
