Malaysian police arrest 15 people over links to IS



KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian police have arrested 15 people, mostly from Indonesia, on suspicion of having links with the Islamic State (IS) militant group, international media reports have said.

They were arrested in several raids between July and September, according to Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, the country’s police counter-terrorism chief, according to Reuters.

Malaysia has been on high alert after gunmen allied with IS carried out a series of attacks in Jakarta on January 2016.
