KATHMANDU: Nepal Student Union (NSU), the student wing of the Nepali Congress (NC), on Friday held a candlelight vigil wishing for the eternal peace to the departed soul of Nirmala Panta.

The candlelight vigil held at Maitighar Mandala was organized to commemorate the day Nirmala was raped and murdered one year ago, according to President of FOTS Subash Ghimire.

Participants attending the candlelight vigil demanded justice to Nirmala. Even after one year, the government is yet to book the murderer(s) behind the murder that shocked the country.
