44 incidents of theft reported in Gulmi



GULMI: With the Dashain festival just around the corner, the incidents of theft have increased massively.

According to Ashok Kumar Thapa, chief of Gulmi Rural Municipality, a total of forty-four houses have been robbed in the last three days in Resunga Municipality and Gulmi Rural Municipality.

Twenty houses were robbed in Gulmi Rural Municipality while 15 houses were looted in Resunga Municipality, ward chairman Khum Bahadur Khatri said.

Locals have complained that the thieves broke into the houses at night and decamped with cash and gold ornaments.

With the incidents of theft increasing, the District Police Office has deployed security personnel in the incident sites.
