Elderly man killed in Bardiya tiger attack



BARDIYA: A tiger staying from the Bardiya National Park attacked and killed an elderly man on Sunday morning in Thakurbaba Municipality-1 in Bardiya district.

Local resident Pahadiya Tharu, 70, died on the spot. Tharu was mauled by the tiger while feeding pigs, said the police.

Tiger attacks that have increased lately have terrified the local people.
