Met office predicts heavy rainfall in west Nepal



KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted heavy rainfall at one or two places of the western region as the western part of the axis of the Monsoon Trough is located north than the usual point.

In a weather bulletin issued for Sunday, MFD said, “The weather will remain generally cloudy in the western region and partly to generally cloudy in the eastern and central regions. Brief rain/ thundershowers are possible at some places of the country and there are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the western region.”

According to the met office, a similar weather pattern will continue at night as well.
