KATHMANDU: Lieutenant Colonel of the Nepal Army Keshab Raj Karki has been terminated for  his alleged involvement in embezzling a huge amount of money.

Nepal Army Military Court handed him a termination letter along with a jail for three years and a fine equivalent to the amount he misappropriated, said Directorate of Public Relations and Information.

In the  second week of April, a case had been filed against him accusing him of embezzling a huge amount of money while he was running Rastrapati Chure Protection Program.

Karki has been sent to the central jail. He can move the Supreme Court if he found the verdict baseless.
