KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial impact of local winds across the country, with rising temperatures observed in many areas.

Today’s forecast indicates partly cloudy skies over the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while other areas are likely to see mostly clear conditions.

By afternoon, cloud cover is expected to increase in the hilly areas of these provinces, with light rain and lightning likely at isolated spots in Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali.

There is also a chance of snowfall in some high-altitude and mountainous areas of Gandaki and Karnali.

The Division has urged citizens to take caution against potential lightning and rainfall in the hilly regions, and to remain vigilant against possible heatwaves in the Terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim.
