Police arrest four fugitives

RUKUM: Four people sentenced to jail for murder have been arrested after nine years. They were arrested from their home in Kanda of Bhumi rural municipality-4 on Friday.

Those arrested are Samarpan Budha,31, Om Prakash Gharti,29, Akash Buda,35, and Dipak Gharti,32, according to the District Police Office, Rukum east. They had been sentenced to jail by the then Rukum District Court in Khalanga in 2068 B.S.

A special team mobilized by police arrested them after a long time, said police inspector Bir Bahadur Sunar. They will be sent to the District Prison in Rukum west.
