DHADING: A man died while 40 others sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred at Baireni Bazaar of Dhading on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Dolma Tamang of Belkotgadhi Municipality-5, Nuwakot, according to Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Baidar.
The accident took place when a bus, Ba. 2 Kha. 6268, carrying members of a marriage procession tried to swerve a pothole on the road.
The bus was heading towards Amlekhgunj from Bansgadi of Nuwakot.
Seventeen of the 40 injured were taken to Kathmandu Trauma Center as their condition was critical while the remaining are undergoing treatment at medical centers in Baireni and Galchi, police said.
