GENEVA: Britain has sent a mediator to Iran to talk about the freeing of a British-flagged tanker that was seized by Iran last week, international media reports have said citing the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader.

Tensions have flared up between the two countries after Iran last Friday seized a tanker, Stena Impero, claiming it collided with a fishing vessel.

Iran has, however, provided no details about the British mediator’s trip. (Agencies)
