Gold medal declared by giving 60 additional marks



KATHMANDU: It has been revealed that the Controller of Examinations of Tribhuvan University has awarded Surendra Koirala a ‘gold medal’ by giving him 60 additional marks. He had actually scored only 9 marks.

Surendra Koirala, who had scored 9 marks in one of the subjects of master’s level, was declared gold medalist by giving him 60 more marks by staffers of the Office of the Controllers of Examinations. Koirala is an advocate by profession.

It has been revealed that the marks was added to a total of three subjects to make Koirala gold medalist. Koirala is the student of Economics under the humanities faculties at Patan Campus.
