QUETTA:  A bomb explosion at the Sunni Muslim mosque in the Pakistani city of Quetta killed two worshipers and wounded 14.

People were offering Friday prayers when a bomb went off. a separatist insurgency for decades has been plaguing Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan.

Quetta is the capital Baluchistan province which has been plagued for decades by a separatist insurgency. The separatists usually attack energy infrastructure and the security forces.

Attacks on Sunni mosques surprised the authority as it is very rare in Pakistan. Sunny Muslim militants are active here in Baluchistan and usually attack members of the Shi’ite Muslim minority as well as government establishments.
