Three held for raping a teenager

KAVREPALANCHOWK: Police have arrested three persons on the charge of raping a 14-year-girl at Mandan Deupur Municipality-7  in the district.

Those arrested include Puskar Rai,24, Prakash Danuwar,21, of the same locality and Ram Kumar Rai,21, of ward no. 7, according to DSP at the district police office, Dhulikhel Dipak Giri. The fourth person is at large. The arrests were made following FIR filed by the family of the rape survivor.

According to police, the girl used to work extracting sand from the river. And two of the alleged rapists are driver and driver assistant of a tipper used to transport sand. They lured the girl into the tipper, took her to the river  bank and raped her.

Police said they are investigating the case.
