KATHMANDU: Expert Dhangadhi Blues defeated Pokhara Paltan by five wickets at the Twenty20 cricket match of ongoing the Pokhara Premier League (PPL) held at Pokhara Cricket Stadium in Kaski on Monday.

Chasing down the 80-run target set by Pokhara, Dhangadi scored 85 runs on the board losing five wickets in 9.1 overs. Deepak Punia top-scored for Dhangadhi at 25 runs.

Prathamesh Dake and Sarbajit Ladda took two wickets.

Earlier, Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Pokhara notched up 79 runs in 16.3 overs losing all wickets.

Pokhara’s Aasif Sheikh made 32 runs including four fours off 29 balls, B Bhandari secured 12 runs including one four off 15 balls while the other batsmen could reach double-digit runs.

In reply, A Kharel grabbed three wickets while KS Airee, DS Punia and S Dhakal grabbed two wickets each of Pokhara Paltan.
