DIG Pokharel receives grand welcome at metro

KATHMANDU: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Bishwa Raj Pokharel has been assigned the responsibility of Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari.

DIG Pokharel has assumed the office as per the decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Home Ministry on December 18 had transferred Pokhael to the Metropolitan Police Office from Police Headquarters’ Secretariat.

Assuming the responsibility, DIG Pokharel expressed commitment that he would leave no stone unturned to maintain peace and security.

He was welcomed by the senior police officers to his new office.

Pokharel has already worked as the chief of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu.
