Insignia conferred on MG Nirmal Kumar Thapa

KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Purna Chandra Thapa has conferred an insignia on Major General Nirmal Kumar Thapa.

The insignia was presented to Thapa amidst a special function held at the Army Headquarters on Sunday in line with the cabinet’s decision.

The Council of Ministers held on December 16 had taken a decision to promote Thapa to the post of Major General.

Meanwhile, promoted Major General Thapa has been appointed as the assistant coordinator of the National Security Council.
