Chabahil tense after irate students torch bus

KATHMANDU: Tension has flared in Chabahil area after students set a vehicle on fire for hitting a student of Pashupati Campus, this morning.

Agitating students have also disrupted vehicular movement at Chabahil area.

Shristi Panta, a student of BBS fourth year at Pashupati Campus, was struck by the vehicle, Ba 7 Kha 5930, near Gopi Krishna Cinema Hall. Injured Panta is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Meanwhile, police have taken the vehicle and its driver under control and are investigating the case.

A huge number security personnel have been deployed in the incident site. Few students have sustained injuries in the clash with police.
