Samajwadi Party deciding to quit govt or not



KATHMANDU: An office-bearer meeting of the ruling Samajwadi Party, Nepal has started on Saturday to decide whether to desert the government or not.

The meeting has been summoned after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli charged the portfolio Samajwadi’s Chairman Upendra Yadav in a recent government shakeup.

In the reshuffle, Deputy Prime Minister and the then Health Minister Yadav’s portfolio was given to Bhanubhakta Dhakal, who was then serving as the Law Minister. Yadav was given the responsibility of the Law Ministry.

The party has riled by the change in the portfolio which Yadav says was done without his consent.
