Biplav cadres assault ruling NCP local leaders in Jajarkot

JAJARKOT: Cadres of the Biplav-led outlawed faction assaulted cadres of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) at Barekot rural municipality of Jajarkot district.

Biplav cadres attacked NCP local leaders, including Niraj Acharya, Dambar Bahadur Singh, Bishal Basnet, among others in the district.

Cadres of the outlawed faction have issued a stern warning that they would not allow ruling NCP cadres to enter the Barekot area, according to Superintendent of Police Shyam Bahadur Khatri.

The NCP people were attacked when they were on their way to participate in a training organized by the party Laikham of Barekot.

Acharya and Singh have sustained injuries.

“They charged us with lathis all of a sudden when we were hearing toward Laikham to participate in the program,” Singh said adding that the Biplav-cadres also warned that they would restrict the NCP supporters from entering the area.
