State 1 assembly passes Manmohan Technical University Bill

BIRATNAGAR: The State 1 Assembly on Monday endorsed the ‘Bill Designed to Make Provisions for Manmohan Technical University, 2076 BS’.

The proposal presented by Jiwan Ghimire, State 1 minister for social development seeking its passage was passed by a majority.

Members of Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, had earlier encircled the rostrum shouting slogans against the bill.

The endorsement of the bill is likely to pave the way for establishing the Manmohan Technical University, which would produce human resources required by the State.
