One injured in shooting in Sarlahi



SARLAHI: A person was injured when two unidentified persons riding on an Indian number motorcycle opened fire on him in Siraha today.

Bhagawati Bista, 24, was returning home from Rajbiraj on his motorcycle (Sa 11 Pa 1366) when two persons on a motorbike opened fire on him, police said.

According to police, the first shot was ‘missed’ while the second round of fire shot by the assailants injured him.

Bista is undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

Police have recovered a 9-mm bullet shell and a 9-mm bullet from the incident site.
