KATHMANDU: Preparations are underway to import petroleum products from India thorough a pipeline from the second week of June.

Parsa National Park has cut down trees along the five-kilometer route within its territory. Now the trees along three kilometer-route are yet to be felled down, said a report in Kantipur daily.

A pipeline has been laid down up to 31 kilometers of the total 36 kilometers stretching between Indian border to Amlekhganj, according to Pradeep Yadav, chief engineer of Amlekhganj Oil Corporation.

Now pipeline has to be laid down along a five-kilometer route.
