Nepali Embassy in Malaysia rescues 16 migrant workers

KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in Malaysia has rescued and repatriated 16 Nepali migrant workers, who were stranded in the Southeast Asian country.

The Embassy in a statement stated it rescued ten Nepalis from Juru Detention Center on March 14 and six others from Johar Baru Detention Center on March 21.

The Embassy has urged all not to be lured by false promises made by swindlers and provide them with money for rescue and repatriation of Nepalis in different prisons and detention centers in Malaysia.

The statement added the Embassy will continue to work for rescue and repatriation of Nepali migrant workers left high and dry in Malaysia.
