NEW DELHI: India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested senior Indian Congress leader P Chidambaram on Wednesday night.
He was taken to its headquarter in Lodhi Road area in New Delhi, Indian media reports have said.
After being arrested, Chidambaram spent the night after being arrested at the same CBI headquarter building which he had also joined the inauguration ceremony when he was a former union minister in 2011.
He had served as the Union Home Minister from November 2008 to July 2012 during the UPA government.
Chidambaram was arrested in the INX Media case for which he has been alleged of money laundering, wrongdoing, and misusing his power of finance minister. (Agencies)
