Six arrested for selling ANFA logo printed T-shirts



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested six people on charge of illegally manufacturing and selling T-shirts printed with the fake logo of the All Nepal Football Association.

Acting on a tip-off, a squad from the Metropolitan Crime Division also seized at least 91 T-shirts printed with ANFA’s fake logo from the arrestees.

The arrestees have been identified as Chandra Datta Sharma of Jayamuni municipality in Baglung district, Bishnu Prasad Kandel and Sagar Pandey, owner of BRK Suppliers at Khusibu in Kathmandu, Gobinda Khanal, owner of Readymade Store at Mahabauddha, Ram Sharan Kharel, owner of SP Sports at Bishal Bazaar and Nilam Basnet, owner of City Sports at Sundhara.

The T-shirts have been confiscated from the cloth shops of the arrestees, said Senior Superintendent of Police Sahakul Thapa, adding that investigation into the incident was on.
