Diarrhea epidemic grips two wards in Makwanpur



MAKWANPUR: An epidemic of diarrhea and vomiting has gripped two wards of Manahari rural municipality in Makwanpur for a week.

Jyamire of ward 9 had first reported the outbreak of diarrhea as some people complained of it at a moderate level. After sometimes, it further spread within the ward and to ward no 8 as well, Primary Health Centre Manahari’s senior health assistant Shiva Ram Baniya said.

He said these days over 25 people visit the center on a daily basis with complaint of diarrhea and vomiting.  Of them, over seven arrive with a serious condition and need the administration of medicine through injection.
