Danish billionaire’s three children killed in Sri Lanka attacks



COPENHAGEN: Denmark’s richest person Anders Holch Povlsen and his wife lost three of their four children in the attacks in Sri Lanka, media reports said.

Danish media said the family had been on holiday in Sri Lanka.

Bombings at eight places, including churches and hotels across Sri Lanka killed 290 people and injured over 500 in Sunday’s attacks.

According to Sri Lankan officials, seven suicide bombers had been involved in the attacks.

Danish Povlsen is an owner of fashion firm Bestseller, which includes brands like Vero Moda and Jack & Jones. He is also the majority stakeholder in online retailer Asos and also holds a big stake in Zalando.

According to Forbes, he owns more than 1 percent of all the land in Scotland. (Agencies)
