Rs 240 mln embezzled while procuring four mobile vans

KATHMANDU: As much as Rs 240 million has been embezzled while procuring four mobile vans under the Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project (PMAMP), a report in Naya Patrika said.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday filed a case at the Special Court against 13 individuals for procuring vans of low quality than the agreement.

The Department had procured four vans under the PMAMP to effectively monitor the quality of foods.
