BAJURA: The number of students has increased in community schools after the school management started distributing snacks to them.
The number increased at Kailash Primary School based at Pandusain in Budhiganga Municipality-10.
The number of students was 50-70 few years ago but it has now almost doubled.
The trend of dropouts in the lower classes in the schools based in highlands has to some extent has stopped, said Ganesh Bahadur Singh, headmaster of Kailash Primary School.
A total of 1, 613 students from 134 primary schools are participating in the day snack programs, according to Singh.
