President grants pardon to 22 prisoners

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari today granted pardon to 22 inmates on the occasion of the fourth Constitution Day.

Likewise, the President also shortened the sentence of some 260 persons behind the bars across the country.

The prisoners were pardoned in accordance with Article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal on the recommendation of the government for their ‘good conduct’.
