Youth arrested for threatening to kill top leaders



KATHMANDU: A youth who had threatened to kill top-notch political leaders including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has landed in police net.

Police arrested Sagar Mainali, 28, of Simara for threatening to murder PM Oli, Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and President of Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba.

He has posted a video on Facebook to kill them over the arrest of journalist Rabi Lamichhane for allegedly abetting suicide of journalist Shalikram Pudasaini.

Chief at Metropolitan Police Crime Division SSP Sahakul Thapa said that he will be charged under the Electronic Transaction Act.
