NCP heavyweights to consult task-force prior to merger

KATHMANDU: Republica daily has reported that the top-notch leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) agreed to take a final call on the merger of party committees in consultation with the members of the party unification task-force.

The decision has come at a time while a growing rift between Chairpersons KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal is hindering the remaining works of party unification, says the report.

NCP’s secretariat meeting held in Baluwatar on Monday did not strike a deal on the party committees’ unification.

Then CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN-UML which merged in  May last year have not been able to conclude merger of the district and local committees
