KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal on Friday staged a protest in the Capital City demanding an all-party roundtable conference to reinstate Hindu kingdom among other demands.

At a protest organized at Shantibatika, RPPN Chairman Thapa set a banner secularism written on it, on fire.

Police intervened after Thapa set ablaze the banner and arrested some dozen leaders of the party. They have been kept at Nepal Police Club.

Cadres, however, foiled the police’s attempt to arrest Chairman Thapa.
