Itinerary, including other documents mandatory for Nepalis bearing visit visa



KATHMANDU: The Department of Immigration (DoI) has made it mandatory for Nepalis flying abroad on a visit visa to produce necessary documents, including two-way tickets.

The DoI said it is mandatory for the Nepali nationals to produce details, including lodging, vying to go abroad on a visit visa.

A home ministry-level decision of October 12 made the decision relating to the mandatory possession of a two-way ticket, passport, visa, boarding pass up to the destination, sponsor letter and an amount equivalent to US$ 1000 and the details relating to the lodging at the destination.

Nepali nationals flying to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Malaysia on visit visa are also mandatorily required to produce two way tickets, passport and visa, boarding pass up to the destination, sponsor letter or the amount equal to US$ 1000 and the documents including the information of about the lodgings at the destinations, the notice issued by the Department says.

The notice has also asked visitors to include details up to their 90-day stay in a foreign land.

The immigration notice issued recently has asked to ensure that the visitors heading to USA, Australia, Japan, Canada, European Countries and South Korea too should produce documents such as passport, visa, two-way tickets, boarding Pass up to the destination, sponsor letter, one thousand US dollar and hotel booking details.
