Vice chancellors of universities to be recommended by Dec 5



KATHMANDU: Preparations are underway to induct new vice chancellors in the vacant posts of the universities.

Dr Usha Jha of National Planning Commission, who looks after the education affairs, said names of three individuals will be recommended for each of the university to the Prime Minister by December 5.

The posts of vice chancellors of Purbanchal University, Nepal Sanskrit University, Agriculture and Forest University, Pokhara University, Farwest University, Mid-Western University are vacant.

Meanwhile, the chairman of service commission of Nepal Sanskrit University and Purbanchal University are also lying vacant.

Prime Minister is the Chancellor of the university.
