KATHMANDU: Prime Minister K P Oli has alleged anti-democratic elements of playing foul by trying to create instability in the country.

Addressing the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday, PM Oli said pro-monarchy elements are trying to weaken democratic norms and values on various pretexts.

“These elements are trying to take advantage of the generosity of the democratic government and political parties,” PM Oli said adding that the pro-monarchy elements are carrying out their activities without any constraints.

The prime minister said that he doesn’t wish to be in power again after the coming elections to the House of Representatives.

“I don’t want to head the government after the next election,” he said, “Thus, I would like to request friends to keep patience.”

Saying that the government was fully committed to democratic values, the prime minister altered Opposition not to portray as if the government was heading on an authoritarian path.
