KATHMANDU: General Secretary of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bishnu Poudel has dubbed his visit to China as fruitful.
Upon his arrival in Kathmandu today from a week-long visit to China, Poudel said the northern neighbor has expressed its readiness to provide technical and engineering support to Nepal in whatever way it can.
During his China visit, Poudel on Thursday visited the Xian Railway University and held discussion on expediting the process of the Kerung-Kathmandu railway at the earliest.
According to him, Chinese investors have shown interest to invest in Nepal in various sectors.
“I discussed with various Chinese leaders and held talks about further strengthening relations between the two countries,” Poudel said.
Earlier on Wednesday, NCP General Secretary Poudel held a meeting with Ai Ping, Vice President, Chinese Association for International Understanding, in Beijing.
During the meeting, the duo discussed on Nepal-China relations, party sources said.
