Cylinder bombs explode in Chitwan



CHITWAN: Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) have exploded at two places of Chitwan district today in course of the nationwide strike imposed by the Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led faction.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chitwan, Durga Raj Regmi said no human casualty was reported in the incidents as the explosion took place away from human settlements.

While a cylinder bomb was exploded near Gholkhet at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-18, another cylinder bomb exploded at Kayer rivulet near Kalika municipality-8.

Normal life in Chitwan has been affected due to the strike. Educational institutions, factories and market areas remained closed today.
