Former lawmaker Dhungel passes away



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader and then Constituent Assembly (CA) member Rameshwar Dhungel passed away at 3:15 pm on Tuesday. He died in course of treatment at Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

He was taken to the hospital after he suffered from a brain stroke. A permanent resident of Suryabinayak Municipality-5 of Katunje in the district, Dhungel was elected from Bhaktapur Constituency-2 in the Second CA in 2070 BS.

He is survived by three sons. Dhungel was active in politics since 2040 BS. He was elected as Katunje VDC Chair in 2054 BS.
