KATHMANDU: Artist Kiran Manandhar has been selected for the prize of the Nabin Kalashree prize to be awarded by the Chettra Lal Kayastha Academy, Pokhara.
The prize carries a purse of Rs. 50,000 along with a copper plaque. To be awarded every two years, this is the first time that the prize is being awarded, said Vice-chair of the Academy Niraj Kayastha.
The prize to Manandhar has been presented for his special contribution to the art sector. The prize will be presented at the art exhibition titled ‘Kalayatra-76’ that will begin on November 17 at Nepal Art Council Baber Mahal.
