Fire guts house, property worth Rs 500,000 in Saptari

SAPTARI: Property worth Rs 500,000 was destroyed after a fire broke out in a house based at Haleshi Tole in Sapatari Municipality-1 in the district on Tuesday.

Utensils, clothes, foodstuff, including cash, were destroyed in the fire that broke out in the two-story building belonging to Dilli Bahadur Basnet, a local.

The fire was contained with the help of police and locals, said DSP Tilak Bharati of District Police Office, Saptari.
