BUTWAL: Chief Minister of State 5 Shankar Pokhrel conducted a field inspection of the house of Bhumishwor Dhakal, chief whip of ruling Nepal Community Party of the state at Sainamaina Municipality-8 in Rupandehi district where an improvised explosive device was detonated in the wee hours today.
During the observation, CM Pokhrel asked the police administration to carry out investigations into the explosion. Pledging investigations into the incident, he said security personnel would be mobilized for the security of the families of Dhakal. Likewise, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of the state Kul Prasad KC, who also accompanied CM Pokhrel committed a probe into the explosion and action against the guilty.
The team members who inspected the incident area State Assembly Speaker Purna Bahadur Gharti, president of the SA Parliamentary Committee Dadhi Ram Neupane, SA member Kamala Bishwokarma, Chief District Officer Arjun Prasad Pokharel and high ranking officials of security agencies. An unidentified group on motorcycles exploded a petrol bomb at the house of Dhakal. However no human casualties were reported.
The rear part of a government vehicle, Lu 1 Pa 456, parked inside the house were burnt down in the explosion, said inspector Rabin Raj Mainali. Meanwhile, NCP and NC municipality town committees and the municipality mayor Chitra Bahadur Karki among others condemned the incident.
