1 killed, 15 injured in Makwanpur bus mishap



MAKWANPUR: A bus accident has taken place near Damidar of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-19 along the Hetauda-Narayangadh road section in the district, leaving one dead.

The deceased has been identified as Mukesh Sharma, 58, of Rampur Boharwa Rural Municipality-5, Sarlahi district. Sharma succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Hetauda-based Churehil Hospital.

The ill-fated bus, Na 5 Kha 2233, heading to Gaur from Kathmandu rammed an electric police after the driver lost control over the wheel at 2 am today.

Eight injured in the incident have returned home after minor treatment, four have been referred to Chitwan for further treatment while the rest are undergoing treatment at Churehil Hospital.

The bus driver is at large. Police are investigating the case.
